Not much more exciting if at all.

We have a couple of antique convertibles. So the town asked us to drive them in today's parade. This way, the mayor and councilpeople get to wave. My wife drives the mayor; I drive some councilperson.

Probably will rain anyway. I'm not looking forward to it, because the car I drive is a standard shift. Driving an old Porsche in first gear for a few hours is not appealing. The other car is a '57 T-Bird.

experienced the first rolling blackout of my 60 years
that had to do with electricity ...
had some of those waaaay back in my hard drinking days ....hehehehe

anyway --- Las Vegas had the first one ever Monday afternoon ... none of the casinos were affected, but several places on the strip, as well as lots more areas in town were blacked out for nearly an hour ....

hey .. I quit riding the danged elevators ..... lol

it was 122degrees Monday in Vegas but when I awoke this morning in NE Texas it was a balmy 75 and things were GREEN in my yard and the flowers were blooming so fabulously ......
good to be back home in God's country ...

got to catch up on some chores and bills and things ...
