Fyo, Re: This has been debated back and forth a couple of times on the thread. Hector keeps saying Q4 for samples / production start, while marketing says Q1 for volume availability. If the roadmap indicates availability (which has traditionally been the case), the .13µ process hasn't slipped (yet / this time).

I fully agree with that. However there's one problem: The boxes are getting bigger and bigger. On the old roadmap (http://www.anandtech.com/cpu/showimage.html?u=http://images.anandtech.com/reviews/cpu/amd/athlon4/mobile/roadmap.gif) we saw Thoroughbred reaching from Q1 '01 to Q2 '01. On the new roadmap (http://www.amd.com/news/virtualpress/roadmap.html) it reaches from ... well, forget it. I just compared the two and the new roadmap seems only to have a new scale but the boxes are not that much bigger.

Having compared the old and new roadmap more closely, there's only on difference: The Palomino box slipped by one or two months. I don't know if that means still availability in September as previously planned. It could mean anything from August to November.
