My laptop, a Dell Inspiron, has a TV S type outlet and a converter wire to RCA video.

To get it to work, I must use BIOS setup to enable output to this port. Once enabled, the Fn-F8 combination toggles among Laptop, TV, or both.

My computer has a DVD drive. I've tried to play a movie on the big TV. It worked, but the pleasure wasn't worth the effort.

Fn-F8 is pressing the Function-8 key while holding down the (Blue) Fn key. (It's near the lower left corner of my keyboard. Ctrl, Fn, Windows, & Alt.)
