Marconi news out and factored in. Here's the release. Marconi to cut 4,000 jobs, warns on profit LONDON, July 4 (Reuters) - British telecoms equipment maker Marconi Plc (quote from Yahoo! UK & Ireland: MONI.L) announced a further 4,000 job cuts on Wednesday and said operating profits would halve this year in a tougher than expected market. In a trading update after the first quarter, the company said current year sales would be down 15 percent on last year. It said it expected to take a further exceptional charge of 150 million pounds ($210.7 million) for the year to March 2002.

It seems enough people here follow NT that we might have some fun running one of these cyber-bets for NT... Message 4588247 Is NT going to $10 or $18 first? Chief and & I had some good debates that summer (right Chief?). With all the egos here, I wonder if this might be healthy for the thread.
