Compaq, Cybozu to Jointly Market iPAQ, Office4 July 4, 2001 (TOKYO) -- Compaq Computer KK and Cybozu Inc. said they will launch joint marketing for Cybozu's groupware and Compaq's PDA. In this effort, Cybozu's "Office4" groupware will be sold with Compaq's "Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC" PDA as a client. The two companies will aim to hold seminars for the existing users and new potential customers and events or promotional activities using Web or e-mail. Cybozu started to offer on July 2 an additional module, "Cybozu Pocket 4," which will enable Windows CE3.0-based Windows Powered Pocket PC to work as a client of Office4. Cybozu will recommend Compaq's iPAQ as the best fit for the Office4 client. Compaq, on the other hand, also set up on July 1 a division to promote mobile business to accelerate the sale of the iPAQ/Office4 system.
