PRESS RELEASE 7/4/01:

The Futures Fax "Keeper of the 1929 top comparison"
has gone from "Early Warning Crash Risk (issued 6/22)" to "YELLOW ALERT!
On Watch CRASH RISK."

The recent market top was May 21, 2001. We are now 45 calendar days since
the day of the high. The current market pattern is following the "pattern"
of the 1929 top that led to a market crash between 50 and 60 calendar days
after the top in 1929.

The "Early Warning" is in response to a market top pattern that is
following the general pattern of the 1929 top. "Early warning" can be
issued 1 to 35 calendar days after the top. "Yellow Alert - On Watch Crash
Risk" can be issued 35 to 50 calendar days after the top. "Red Alert -
Imminent Crash Risk" can be issued 45 to 65 calendar days after the top.

"Yellow Alert" see the login page at www.futuresfax.com

and this from Rich Hahn...

The market continues to trace out a pattern resembling previous crash years. The Value Line Arithmetic index made a record high on May 22. Since then, there's been a retracement and a recovery rally that has (so far) failed to make a new high or exceed a bear market retracement level. Unfortunately, that is the market crash signature seen in previous crash years. 28 trading days past the peak hits on Monday, July 2. Please count 28 days past the peaks on the '29 and '87 charts below the current VLE chart. You will see the pattern is frightfully similar.

Great, yet another permutation that looks up. Is there nobody who thinks we might got sideways or down?

I am happy to be standing aside outside of intraday futures trading. I want no part of a bull move that has invited everyone else. -ng
