SOX index signal currently flat. It looks like it is trapped in a range. We are currently in the lower part of the range, but I don't see a catalyst to move up right now. COMXP is indicating a weak bounce, but the 50 day EMA at 2140 is a problem right now. That is not much of a bounce. I think it is easier to sit this one out for now and wait to see the mood to the institutions when they come back. I think the direction is down short term. The technicals are still ahead of the fundamentals and the fundamentals are weaker than expected despite the ability to stocks to rally in the light of bad news.
