The key for me (and I by no means have this mastered) is that quick exit. You could fill a book with bullish breakout patterns...but then you could also fill two books with breakout patterns that failed. P&F filters out much of the noise and thus makes identifying points of resistance and support clearer however taking out the noise is a double edged sword.

I don't know if you're aware of this but at the end of the day some major volume transactions occurred in DD. at 15:59 10,000 shrs @ 46.94 5,600 @ 46.91 at 16:00 4,700 @ 46.90 6,000 @ 46.91 at 16:02 40,000 @ 46.93 208,600 @ 46.93 at 16:09 99,200 @ 46.93 at 16:15 99,200 @46.93 at 17:01 15,000 @ 46.93 at 18:40 15,000 @46.93 Obviously a big institution is dealing here. I don't know if there unloading or buying. What cha think?
