Even if global warming is actually occurring, I agree with you that a few fanatic democrappers cannot 'save' the world from its own natural 'flow' of events... (no pun intended here, as you will see)...<g> There are some prevailing theories about global warming actually being the cause of the next ice age... there are also temperature peaks after each ice age as well, and the earth had its most recent post ice age temperature peak about 6,000 years ago... The data shows that prior to and after each ice age there are erratic temperature peaks, basically a global warming effect... we may be in this warming phase right now, glaciers have been receding inland for a number of years and this appears to be accelerating... Here's how it happens: In the early stages, higher temperatures cause the glaciers to melt and recede... but, at some point, the melting fresh water glaciers actually cause global temperatures to drop because the cold fresh glacial water being introduced into the warm salt water gulf stream finally inhibits the flow of the warm gulf stream and stops the gulf stream from warming the northern regions of the globe during our winters... The gulf stream generally moderates the winters in the northern climates and the summers in the equatorial regions... as the cold fresh water glaciers continue to melt, this inhibited flow of Gulf stream warm water would allow the winters to become gradually much colder and longer until the next ice age has finally developed in full... This theory suggests the current global warming has already started the next ice age, and that many of the glaciers have already receded 20 and 30 miles inland as a result of the current warming... this also explains the severe extremes in our current global weather patterns.....BWDIK This post is to point out the folly of those demofools who will probably want a billion dollars of our hard earned tax money to stop nature from doing its beautiful and natural thing..... politics as usual.....
