Lew, I don't think that the net phobia is company specific, just that my firm is strong on enforcement. The NASD and SEC seem to have problems with the net for investment talk. The story I hear is that they consider it advertising for a broker to talk about an issue and advertising is subject to tons of regulation.

My thinking is that the market will move so far away from phone based brokerage firms that they will eventually have to beg, hat in hand, for the NASD and SEC to cut them some slack. At which point we'll crank up this thread again big time. <G>

However, you did hit on one of my thinking points. I am not sure if I'll fit in here or anywhere else in the industry. I tend to be more interested in non-traditional techniques than most. I know that it caused me problems in mutual funds, with several folks at my firm assigned just to make sure that I didn't do anything crazy. And, oddly enough, they embraced my craziness so much that after a couple of years, when I wanted to turn conservative temporarily, they had a cow and we parted ways. <g> I hope that doesn't happen here, but if it does, there are other worlds I have yet to conquer. I was thinking something like Personal Masseur for Las Vegas Showgirls. And, no, I don't CARE what it pays. <VBG>
