"Can you get into a Hedge Fund? There is a means test -- most likely YOU are excluded."

Howie, you're out of your league. Yes, there is a means test, but anyone can get into a hedge fund at the discretion of the General Partner. You just need to get to know the GP.

I'll spell it out for you, okay?

There are usually 2 alternatives spelled out in the Private Placement Memorandum.

1. Individual's Net Worth or Joint Net Worth exceeds 1 million, or Individual has had an income in excess of 200K or 300K with spouse

Now pay attention:

2. Individual has knowledge and experience in financial and business matters so as to be capable of evaluating the Partnership.
