To: Devin123 who wrote (30067 ) 7/5/2001 3:47:01 PM From: SOROS Respond to of 37746 foxnews.com Where do you come from? I despise people's actions when they HARM another person. I don't despise people. How can you call someone's actions that HARM another person their "values?" Thinking abortion is a question of "values" is only correct if one does not "value" the life of another human. "Negativity" -- So it is "negative" to defend the helpless? We should say, "It's only a few million babies. Look on the bright side. At least that young woman won't have to miss going to the movies, and that fine young man can spend all of his money on CD's and not diapers." And please get your quotes accurate. Did I ever say or imply "I'll see you in hell" to anyone? I've learned one thing by "conversing" on these boards -- there are a few people who still hold traditional values, but the vast majority want a world run by people like Bill what's his name on Politically Incorrect. They want a President like Clinton as long as their pocketbooks are full. The love of money now rules America the Great, and everything else takes a back seat. Speak of anger -- people today become consumed by anger when anyone speaks of morals or taking responsibility for their actions. We now live in a world of "victims." We live in a world of "accept everyone and everything" -- "there is no absolute right and wrong." "God is Love", so this condones gay ministers, and no death penalty, and certainly never say anything that might be construed as negative about anyone's religion (or lack of) -- everyone's going to the same place anyway, right? I'll not post here anymore as on the Curmudgeon thread. In the "Democratic" America in which we now find ourselves, the majority rule, and they have spoken their values on this thread. I remain, SOROS ps I will not die bitter or lonely -- hopefully, old -- although I think that we may not actually die -- this current generation, that is. I truly hope that anyone who has no "values" as the Bible defines them (and not as the new-era America defines them), will not close their ears for good, but seek out that which they know is right -- even if it is uncomfortable. I wish no one would die only to find there is an after-life as the Bible speaks. I went to a 4th of July celebration and when the anthem is played, I get chills because I know what America was and the sacrifices made by those that died so that you and I could disagree and speak our minds. Forget everything else. Do you honestly think that in this world today, with no morals, and how the current generation of young people have been and are being raised today, and everything which you disagree with as being old-fashioned and out-of-date (I am putting words in your mouth here by simply analyzing what you have said -- so if I am mis-reading you, I apologize) now not part of society -- do you think that if America was to need a defense in order to protect its liberties, there would be enough people that would die for her? Or would we simply justify away things like free speech as we have the right to life because it is more convenient and "safe" to do so? There have always been mistakes, but in the last 30 years, America and the world have completely turned around, and if you can't see that, then I am at a loss for words.Message 16030506 pps you certainly don't have to reply, but if so, please do it on my prophecy thread so I will not invade this one again.
