Vote reform, such a hot issue immediately following the election, has essentially been killed by Republicans, not Democrats. At the very least, it has been put on a very back burner by Bush. Why? They obviously think that cleaning up the system will work better for Democrats than for them. So you can get worked up all you want about principle, it's still politics that prevails.
