Bingo, Mike. I took 2 of his CDs from the library today. Nice stuff, but a little too "twangy" for me, although some of it was pretty passionate. I hear he likes to sing his own songs. Well he should consider an album of other people's songs. From listening to the 2 CDs, I now know that was a falsetto he used for "Warmth of the Sun". He should do more of it, because that was about the most beautiful pop ballad I've heard since Buddy's "True Love Ways". I'm glad I "discovered" Vince, but I won't be buying any of his CDs unless "Warmth of the Sun" is on it.

I've been off the net for about 2 months, so I'll ask something that's probably been covered: are you heading up to the SPA when you're out east?

My sister came in last week, so we went to Monmouth Park, from which I've been absent for about a year. I started off with a cold exacta in the 3rd. I bet 3/5 and 1/3/5 rolls in. BUT, the rider of the 5 objected against the 1, so there was hope. They left him up, so kiss $120 goodbye. In the 4th, I try a 15-1 filly, 2nd time grass, 2nd time 2 turns, for a trainer who likes to win that way. The place pool showed she was underbet there, so I go W/P and she runs 2nd, and pays $16.80 for place. Nice to know the same old things still work. From that point, I decided to sit on my hands. Sis burned up all her winnings, so I got clipped for dinner.

If you go up to SAR, bring lots of money, just in case you have a rare losing day<g?>. They gouge you for everything up there. Good luck..Pete
