Indeed, it's a wonder what the early years of imperial power can do for the currency of the only remaining economic, as well as military, super power. We know the $ is going to crack before much longer, though "...devil's in the details", like timing.<g> I'm looking for a ST deflation scare if the dollar continues higher from here. Probably focused around a big train wreck somewhere in the financial system. We are definitely due for one right about now, IMHO. The sharp stock market decline that such a concern would cause - most of it occuring BEFORE the news is made public - would bring on levels printing press frenzy that could out do the money supply growth rates of the notorious 1970s. But for the moment, Cash is King. And we're lucky to be loaded with it after taking some nice profits, the past coupla of months. Cheers, Isopatch
