A clue? The military's Condor program which has high security requirements has been a Qualcomm program.

We have just seen that AT&T is to produce equipment for it, as is Qualcomm. That means AT&T has its feet wet or is a little bit pregnant with Qualcomm's CDMA.

Most interesting.

Assume that given the nature of the Condor program not much will come out in public, but there is already enough to see that it includes a PCS network and is CDMA based.

AT&T seems to be included since Gov't contractors prefer a "second supplier" - to Qualcomm in this case - which we can assume (but can not know for certain probably) is primary.

The choice of AT&T shows again that old habits die hard.
AT&T has been a major supplier to the US Gov't for communications systems and equipment for decades.

That AT&T is in the stone age re CDMA is therefore not to be noticed seemingly, since presumably the Q supplies the brains.

Fun.

But could this signal a hole in the anti CDMA dike at AT&T?
Hmmmmmm?

Best.

Chaz

PS And note the breadth of the program. Wireless LAN and satellite, bluetooth, etc. included along with CDMA PCS.

Could this be a trailblazer to the future? Remember NASA.

PPS An opportunity for NextWave with a civilian version?
