The P4 also commands a higher price. Top-of-the-line P4 sells for $330, while top-of-the-line P3 sells for $175. Gross margins are obviously much better for P4 than P3. Plus Intel has lots of excess fab capacity, so they can afford to shift production to P4 and scramble to higher GHz than AMD can reach with Athlon. No wonder AMD's ASP is in the gutter while Intel's ASP is likely holding up.

Your arguments amount to nothing more than fool's logic. Plus your "AMD can build a fab once every five years without ever showing a profit" is so ridiculous, I wonder why I even bother responding.
