Ptooey! I had just taken a big bite of an egg sandwich when I read that.

I want to hear thames sider's excuse for that particular horror. I wonder if that's what is served in bangers and mash, a dish I've liked.

Eurgh. I'm happy to say I've never even heard of a mutton sausage, and I have no idea why anyone would ever want one. Pork, lamb or beef - organic, with suitable herbs - fine. Venison can make good sausages, too.

To be honest, I don't think I've ever seen mutton on sale in any form (cooked or raw) - except once, some kind of casserole, in a hotel in France...
