Canned pineapple tends to taste like the can it came in, I think. There's nothing wrong with it by itself, but a whole bunch of Yanks were brought up in the sixties and seventies eating it in various "salads" with jello, marshmallows and nuts. This may account for our aggressive nature as a culture all these years later. -VBG
