"OK, so the NRA and its' members walk on water.... why then would your organization be against sensible legislation like the Brady Bill to keep those not welcome at your "wholesome competitive environment" from getting them and using them in a place outside of your shooting range?"

I never implied we walk on water. Nor did I demonize all those who disagree with me. Blanket statements are impossible to defend.

The Brady Bill and all bills like it are an infringement on my Rights. You are saying that you are willing to give up Freedoms and Liberties for the idea of a "greater good" I am not willing to do that.

I want you to tell me how the Brady bill will keep criminals from getting guns. Yes, they stopped a few thousand felons last year from buying guns, but I think 70 were prosecuted for commiting a second felony by trying to buy a gun. If one has no regard for the law, why would one let Brady or any other bill keep oneself from getting a gun? Of course, one would not. So the bill only restricts my Freedom, a law abiding citizen.
