Many large companies, such as Talisman Energy Inc., set their spending plans far below their expected cash flow. Brian Prokop, a Peters & Co. analyst in Calgary, said he had originally forecast Talisman's cash flow at $3.2-billion (Canadian) for the year, while the company has set its spending at $1.7-billion. Even with the drop in gas prices, the company should have plenty of money to work with, he said.
