of a "HARD down" move in the major indices.

IMO, the quickest we wash out, assuming the normal DCBs along the way, is 2 weeks. Earliest I can see any bounce is after we make a sharp break of Dow 10,000 and NAZ 2000.

But my experience with Bear Markets has taught me that they aren't always charitable in providing the quick kill so players conditioned by the trading rythm of the preceeding Bull Market can easily reestab their usual positions.<g>

For example, still to far many players trying to buy every dip in the techs.
