Looking at QQQs and COMPX.....its about average for this time of day....maybe a shade on high side....but certainly not huge, capitulatory volume one would expect....

Dow volume definently average (at best)

Doubt seriously we'll do 2B on COMPX.....

Yeah, I was suprised too......maybe it'll pick up this afternoon...or maybe, as we both summised, we have more down to go...

My (continued) take: Wouldn't low volume be expected if we are making a much bigger down move here (as we turn here)....as we continue to head down (3&5), i'd think volume will increase....and we won't get "capitulatory type" volume until VIX, VIN, P/C are all at capitulatory levels........and indices have completed their 5 waves...

(Note: 3 down should bring some big volume, and pretty big sentiment spikes too)

As a frame of reference.....re: QQQs....on the big April/May days....we would do high 80s, 90s M volume...I think we've done over 100m on a few occasions

As of 12:30 PM, QQQ volume was around 32M....we'll likely do somewhere in the 70s....although, like said, something nasty could get us into the 80s I suppose (slightly capitulatory, but not totally, really just a very strong volume day)..70s would be above average, but not that special, IMO

COMPX volume looks, to me, like its not going to be as "capitulatory" as QQQ may be...no 2B day..

And Dow is probably the weakest of the 3...

Long NQU @ 1701.

EW-wise, I see it has having just invalidated a simple correction (i.e., more down immediately pending) so this is either a 'c' that will equal the first up leg or part of a larger correction. Hopefully, I'll hit some weak shorts running for cover.

Nice theory, but thank goodness my stop is smarter than me.
