SM - thanks for posting the interesting Long Boom
article. I like the optimistic scenario, and believe
this is very likely how it will play out. I remember
a similar book that I bought several years ago called
simply The Long Boom. I think we are in a (painful)
adjustment phase now, but what we need to realize is
that a fundamental New Economy boom will continue.
The stimulus now being applied will work its way
into the economy at the end of 2001 and into 2002.

I think the next leg up will dwarf the 1990's boom,
and basically, "We ain't seen nothing yet." That doesn't
mean we'll go back to bubble internet valuations anytime
soon. But there are important changes and advances
happening now that will benefit us all in this decade.

I've begun to take initial positions in future growth
companies in the last few weeks, and will add to them
if we do see the Nasdaq decline from here, or even
retest the April lows.

This long-term money is looking at what can take place
in 2002, 2003, and 2004 - not whether we retest or even
break April Nasdaq lows.

Thanks again for posting this article!
Matt
