Tim, I guess I need to remind you that a majority..no scratch that, you all have changed the meaning of that word....that more people voted for Gore than Bush. Whether they are liberals, dems., mormons or divorcees is not material.

No the meaning has not been changed, its the standerd greater then 50%. Neither Bush nor Gore got a majority.
Yes more people voted for Gore, but its a fraction of 1% more. It was pretty much a tie.

Bush's behavior indicated to these people at least that his beliefs are subject to change depending on whether he stands to benefit or not from that change.

Bush's positions seem far less subject to such change then did Clinton's as president, or Gore's over the years.
