Actually there are 2 kinds:

Those who benefit from the prosperity of others, and those who benefit fromt he misery of others.

If you belong to the group who benefits from the misery of others, then yes-- absolutely -- the market has done extremely well


i guess you mean shorts are the ones who've done well. but there's another kind--other than holders of tech stocks and shorts of the same--that other kind is value investors, who've done pretty well since the collapse of the tech stocks. i see it as a return of intelligence to the market.

I see 2 kinds in a different way:

One kind blames others for their mistakes.

The other kind takes ownership of their mistakes.

(Amazingly, both kinds take credit for their successes.)
