ST-Trading
AD,

It's also interesting that NVLS is down >9% today but AMAT is hovering around 6-6.5%. The SOX is down 8.3% now. Were AMAT to sell off at the end of the day to the 9% level we will be at 44.5 ish. I think that is possible today (it being a Friday a huge run up is unlikely, but not impossible). What do you think?

ST trading:

Sold my NVLS puts with the stock at 49.4. Held 3 weeks, made 16%. That was my last put/short, so I am now all long. Doubled up on EMC at 22.4; tried to buy more NTAP LEAPS, haven't quite got my price yet.

At these prices and below, I will only add long positions. I may reload on NVLS puts if it hits 56 again. However, the spread on them is too big. And NVLS is showing a lot of relative strength, compared to the other semi-equips. So, I'll probably choose a different stock, to short, on the next rally. Any suggestions?

I pulled the trigger. Not usually a short term trader, but I looked at the gorillas of semi capex and noticed that they all had similar patterns of down 5-10 % today and down nearly 15% for last 5 days. Got 2.5k AMAT at 45.37, 2.5k KLAC 52.08, 5k ter at 32.76. Now working on exit strategy. Considering GTC on all at 75 % of the fall of last 5 days. Any ideas? They were all up when I wrote this.
Cheers
