RAT- I've discussed the hold the MPAA and RIAA have on the throats of consumers in substantial detail upstream. I doubt the regulars on the thread want me to re-hash those views. But FWIW, IMO clearly the MPAA and RIAA is out to destroy any delivery pipe that threatens their snug lock on the tastes and spending habits of consumers of their junk. So as you say, it's not all the ILECs fault for lack of broadband viability. -MikeM(From Florida)
