Why don't you take a look at Cash Flow statements.

Now, AMD had an OCF (Operational Cash Flow) of 146.756M but Capital Expeditures, i.e. purchases of PP&E, of 162.713 a deficit of approximately 20M. How did AMD make these purchases? I'll tell you. Take a look at their financing activities... AMD borrowed approximately 330M
Just a drop in the bucket? At 7%, that tacks on another 23.1M in interest expense per year....

AMD cannot finance their current expansion operations internally; instead AMD must finance their expansion operations by tapping the debt markets...
