George, i agree. btw., since you mention the small caps: the fact that money moved from big into mid and small caps is what made the a/d line look better, leading to WRONG! (g) bullish conclusions by various analysts. the a/d line's t/a implications are widely misunderstood i've found out.
this moving about of the jello has also led to a bigger percentage of NYSE listed stocks getting overbought - when you see over 70% of NYSE stocks are above their 200 dma, but the NYA fails to make a convincing move, it's a danger sign.
