Ted, and we certainly remember the back to school Duron fiasco of last year. I really wish AMD had marketed Duron to younger consumers. The younger generation can discern the quality of processors, and would easily be swayed to purchase Duron over Celeron. Another AMD marketing lost opportunity, IMO.

Dave, one of the best acting group of stocks the past 6 mos. has been retail. And of them, the ones that cater to teens or college kids have done the best.

In other words, I agree.....AMD should have done more of a marketing push to that group. Some how they [teenagers] continue to have $$$ when every one does not. Go figure!

In addition, Europe is a major market for AMD and for some damn reason the EU/Duisenberg does not want to lower interest rates. He is still worried about inflation and wants it kept to 2% a year. It doesn't make sense when Germany, Europe's major market, has shown six consecutive quarters of rising unemployment.

Andreas, what's up with this guy and is anyone doing something about it.
