Agreed. If Intel raises Dell's CPU prices and forces it out of the PC business, Dell will switch to selling mail-order fruit baskets rather than use AMD processors and keep selling computers.

And Intel knows it and Dell knows it and AMD knows it.

I disagree. There was more than the usual speculation and rumor that Dell was setting up an Athlon4 notebook line.

The survey, tho, was indeed pointless. The html coding errors therein reflected how seriously Dell intended to take it.
