The distance by odometer, is closer to one-third of a mile. You said your parents lived "on Hermann Park". There is no street named "Hermann Park" so they can't live there. No one is allowed to live in the park, itself, and there are no residences adjacent to the park around it's entire perimeter. Not only did your statement about where your parents lived not ring true, but that BS about the chatty, society, affairs, was totally opposite of what goes on among the society of oil people. I don't know if it happens among the medical group, or not, but do know that those two groups rarely mingle socially. No, I am not, and have never been, an oil magnate, but have known some of those people, and have been at some social affairs where they have attended in the past. The reason I have been interrogating you, is because you have been quite loose with the facts about Texas oil sticking it to California, and have made up a scenario that could not exist. Yes, I think you are lying. There are some, really nice, people in California, but for the most part there are the snobbish, hedonistic, goof-balls, and if it was up to me, I would cut off the switch for good, and let them learn how to generate their own electricity. Why shouldn't Texas stick it to them? They damned well deserve to have it stuck to them. I doubt it, but if your parents, do indeed, live in Houston, I would suggest that you have them buy a Key Map, and send it to you. It's a book of about 400 pages of detail maps of every inch of Houston. BTW, My Father is dead, and my Mother is in a nursing home which I have not yet visited. When they had their own home, the fire station was on Cochran street, about 2 miles away from their house.
