Bill,

Do you know how many silver heap leaching mine operates in the world.... ? I think it is one or two with a third one coming on stream.. (Alamo Dorado). The reason is that silver oxides are a rare bread..and sulfides do not leach well.. even under bacterias activation..

As for the silver numbers... there is still a deficit. It is shrinking... but it still there and will be there for quite a few years. I know these numbers may be off...but it is what we have to work with:

silverinstitute.org

cpmgroup.com

There are new silver application coming on stream...solders, supraconductivity..etc.. This will add to an already soaring industrial demand.

Demand for photography is stable..

Still... there is one more factor that could make these numbers irrelevant. Investor demand.

Like it happen in the 1970 and 1980's whene there was no deficit and inventories were in the biillions of ounces, silver demand was strong and silver prices were much higher. It can happen anytime...again.
