I think the energy rip-off is the main point here. Sure both parties raise a lot. They have to compete with each other. Give us campaign finance reform and it changes everything. Hopefully. Though some say lobbyists will sue to be able to give freely. Sad thought. Constitutional corruption? Soft money has been responsible for most of the great corruptions of our time. Soft money costs consumers and tax-payers big-time. And it makes whores of politicians we want to be able to trust.
