Plenty more can be said. I am not questioning his job I am questioning his ethics. He is our servant not our boss. We The People. So far his greatest accomplishment may have been to help rip us off for $200,000,000,000. If or when that is proven he is fired. The reason Clinton was never impeached (for lying about infidelity) was that The People wanted him to stay. 55% approval ratings after the Impeachment. This is a democracy. So at least in the long run what the people want the people get. We have the power to investigate, weight justice, and if proven guilty, convict. Since the oil lobby is reportedly discussing a multi buillion dollar settlement with California they have already acknowledged their guilt. But a few billion would be getting off cheap. In our society people pay extra for crimes they don't get off cheaply. Or do they? And if oil lobbyists are offering back billions to avoid an investigation where does it lead? You know where. To the top. If in the latest poll 55% of Californians believe the energy crisis never even existed, Bush is in trouble. He may attack us because we refused to vote for him but we are still the #1 state with the #1 most long-term influence. And if 55% believe it was a fraud that means a lot of Republicans and moderates are against him now too. bad news for Bush.
