Telecom will be just like oil sector and it will be the one to lead US economy out of techs recession. They've just laid down the pipes and making infrastructure for the next wave of software to use it. It's like Intel and Microsoft play. The best thing will be internet appliances like TV for the consumers. HDTV will be a hit in 5 years with the internet connection. The old baby bells have to change their POTS infrastructure to compete or acquired the strong CLEC's.
