Speaking of goldbugs............ skeptic.com "The Federal Reserve System (FRS), along with any international banking system, is another source of paranoia for the conspiracy crowd. Any control or manipulation of the money supply is assumed to be part of a monetary conspiracy inimical both to individual freedom and national sovereignty. McManus has claimed that our national debt is being deliberately increased to put us in hock to international bankers as part of the plan to destroy our national sovereignty and create the New World Order. The FRS, or the Fed, created by congress in 1913, has the function of controlling the money supply, which it does by buying and selling government bonds, regulating the rate at which commercial banks borrow money from the Federal Reserve Bank, and regulating the requirements as to what percentage of commercial banks' assets are held in the Federal Reserve." .........this will make their day.

the only problem with "the end" is that is never ends.........:( and speaking of endings.....the update of the weekly spx chart with slow stochastics shows NO crossing-over of the stochastics lines.....kinda like i warned in the early part of the week....a turn within the week does not necessarily mean a final turn with friday's close... apparently, THE END is not quite here for the spx and other financially markets.....now THAT should gladden the hearts of the doommies - glommies...or, at least, any one who has been short the financial markets.....my number 5 down of the current 9 waver that started on 11/17/00 is still in place for the spx weekly chart bigcharts.com
