If you can't cover them on the pink sheets, the IRS will make you declare them worthless eventually and pay up on the capital gains.

Hi Henry, unfortunately, there are lots of rules preventing no-brainer shorting of penny stocks.

1) US citizens are not allowed to short the OTCBB. You have to do it from a foreign account.

2) I believe there is a certain price under which you can no longer short a stock. Maybe $5.
