I'm not an expert on ethanol but I had heard it was polluting. Nevertheless I'm sure it's better than gasoline. And cheaper in your part of the country. My Mom's from Southern Illinois so I know the country. Not true they're all Republicans down there. Voted heavily for Clinton who spoke their language behind from just down-river with the speaking style of a handsome Methodist minister. I first saw Clinton speak in CSPAN during the Iowa caucuses and I knew he would win immediately. Because I knew he could take my mother's home town and anyone who takes that has won the heart of America. Perhaps Gore's problem is that by beign such a hard-working DC intellectual he'd lost contact with many of those country folks. He didn't seem as comfortable out in the sticks as he once was. But Clinton is a hard act to follow. What an amazing communicator.
