What is truly funny is that some people (like Brees apparently) expect people in the relatively tolerant West to "respect" the intolerance of others. This seem oxymoronic to me. Respect is generally reciprocal. At least my idea of respect is. The Afghans can build web pages here to promote their Muslim cause and Brees can freely compare the Buddhist statues (rolf) to Nazi swastikas (and I always argue that the perversion of the wonderful symbol of the swastika is an outrage, btw)- but try promoting Christianity or Hinduism or Buddhism or Judaism in Afghanistan. Try building a web page THERE that extols the virtues of HERE. Anyone with a logical bone in their body can see the irony inherent in Brees' argument. Which I suppose means that Brees has no logical bones. Not that there's anything wrong with that..... At least not in the fairly tolerant West. Which is where he lives.
