I'm a moderate. Against gay marriage, against too much power to unions (soft money of another kind), I'm against straight welfare, I'm for balancing the budget and paying off debts, I'm for a strong military, I'm for strong law and order against real criminals (white collar ones too who actually do the most damage financially), I'm against partial birth abortions (I think though no expert), I'm for invading Cuba, I'm for toughness against China while continuing to inject capitalism, I'm a capitalist, I'm for deregulation so long as policing body is left to monitor, I'm for lower taxes for those who most need it and especially I'm for campaign finance reform. I think Nader is a kook (once a great man a long time ago but turned ugly). I think Jesse Jackson takes it too far. I'm only for social programs if there's strong accountability for where every dollar goes (I don't even trust a lot of charities or churches by the way because thre is currption thre). I'm very much anti-corruption. I was for the invasion of Grenada. I am very much against wasteful military boondoggles but definitely for treating the soldiers with respect because we need smart ones not just cannon fodder. I'm proudly American and proudly patriotic. And if you think that's left-wing then you must be very far to the right.
