Of course, since RDRAM has higher edge rates, currents and frequencies, the problems are worse for it.

I suggest you go back and review your "three step" voltage analysis of a current source driving a transmission line. Compare that to a voltage source driving a DDR bus. You might also want to read up on EMI sources on PCB's, and the benefits of TEM mode with respect to transitions and frequencies in stripline.

The EMI "issue" just doesn't seem to have created any real problems for DDR.

Perhaps the Intel DDR200 spec. reflects some concern? And I'm not aware of any EMI problems with all the DRDRAM systems out there.

P.S. I should note that for me, the term "EMI" includes crosstalk between signals........ But if you want to use the terms the way everybody else does, be my guest.
