JLA" Given the most optimistic projections for oil discoveries in USA territory it would add little more that a drop in the bucket of our current and future needs. In a link sent to me by Michael Cummings (correct me if I'm wrong Mike), the most optimistic projections for WORLD production, assuming oil is found in every spot it is thought might contain it and assuming only 1% growth in WORLD consumption, has world production peaking in about 2030. And you think the piddling 800,000 barrels a day out of the Alaskan wildlife preserve is going to make a difference.????/ And also consider that OPEC and other oil producing countries will start to limit their sales when their own production peaks so as to preserve their respective economies..... oil ain't gonna do it my friend, we're going to need something else for our grand children....
