What does this all lead too! A BAD thing." Yes, but as Richard of Mazz once said. Trouble is relative, you fall off a tall building, you are in trouble, but not as much trouble as you will be when you hit the ground. So to your "... this all lead too! A BAD thing." Now at first glance you may not see a connection between your comments and Richard's Trouble w/ Relativity. By now you might be getting the signals that my posts do not have to obey any laws, as they seem to make their own. Lets take your post and identify key points. ... Inflation poured into the stock market ... drove these prices wild ... finally figured out that there was no PROFIT ... government has been fibbing to us ... is more inflation in the market place ... [deficits]government takes in, and what they spend ... deficits with foreign countries ... as a people have a negative savings rate ... What does this all lead too! A BAD thing. ok, but your "A BAD thing." may have an elemint of Richard's Trouble w/ Relativity. Usually if something is rotten and bad and smells, then its discarded and replaced with another. But when the cause of creating a bad situation are stuff very close to the mechanics that will fix the incorrectness, then its the fox in the chicken coop. [bad english grammer] Above is to point out that any usa economic crash may have at its root and cause a money and credit creation process that has been out of control in a bad way. Too much Fed printing presses and too much credit creation from GSEs. May not be a big problem if everyone on Earth accepts inflation and lets an equal balance be obtained for what a dollar is worth in terms of goods and services. But that means each government on planet Earth has to enter into a pack that spreads the hurt and pain equally. Two problems there, as (1) some think they deserve less hurt and pain than some others, and (2) the usa governmanr may once again use their position of wealth and military power to limit their hurt and pain by causing pieces of it to be transfered to other nations. This so usa political leaders can get positive sound bits for their next re-election. So seems that cooperation and fairness will not happen. So lets focus on usa only, as most likely they will indeed off load 1/2 of the cause for "A BAD thing." to other nations. Its not the relativity of BAD'ness i see, but the manner in which it is applied. That example of falling off a tall building, its the sudden stop that hurts, not the screaming free fall which can be enjoyed as a bunge-jump experience if one has the quickness to turn that 5 seconds into a positive, eventhought its just a playing with reality. So, its the sudden stop'ing that hurts, and using highschool physics it does not make any difference if you fall at 85 mph and hit the concrete sidewalk or you are at rest and a 85 mph sidewalk hits you or you are traveling 42.5 mph that way and a 42.5 mph sideway is traveling this way, and you two meet. There may be a difference in transfers of energy, but bottom line, you get squished. So, does it make any difference if you created and went into "A BAD thing." or the "A BAD thing." was sent your way, created by another. Same as "transfers of energy", first case you get what you deserve second case, you get dumped on and receive another's problems, both cases, you do the hurt and pain. Does it matter? Sure, why be punished for other's mistakes. Hopefully obtaining physical gold and shares in gold producers will create a cushion and barrier and lessen any 85 mph sidewalk sent your way. d:oug
