Well, I know people that day trade IRA's actively for a while now, and they haven't been busted yet. Won't say with who, for obvious reasons.

For the record , both Etrade and Schwab have told me in the past that the practice was ok with them. Who knows what the policy is now, it may have changed.

Am I right to infer that the 4x buying power for "qualified" PDTs means that somebody, for example, with a $50,000 account can make trades that total far more than $200,000 in a day as long as that trader's open positions never exceed $200,000?
