Doug,
I already checked out at the ROYAL BANK of Canada one more time today (saturday) as they were open. I send PM to HUTCH.
AS of today certificate cost is 411cdn. Metal is 418cdn. Manager assured me that certificate is good as gold, but to exchange for it will cost me small fee. TAking logic into place, metal should be cheaper since it is your cost now to store it. I'll figure out little more next week, But what I wrote about certificates outnumbering metal is TRUE without any doubt. Check yourself in US bank. But do it gentle way as I could hear lots of nervous talk during conversation.

Doug...to help you and others understand what Marek is hinting at - read :"GOLD and ECONOMIC FREEDOM" by Alan Greenspan ;pg.96-101 in Ayn Rand , CAPITALISM, the unknown ideal. (reprinted from The Objectivist, July 1966)

I should think this would be a precursor to any intelligent discourse on the subject...
