I believe that when the EU blocked the GE-HON merger, it is a harbinger for Intel....

I didn't know Intel was contemplating a merger...

So what was the driver behind the EU stopping the GE-HON deal...protect German Airbus, or Rolls Royce aircraft engines business and the like in Europe? I was mildly shocked that the EU could pull off the block.
