"Retro" means (to me) -- simple menu, cheap prices, art deco type decor (and architecture of the building),

an interesting, and somewhat "off-beat" history to the company (that is more than : "some sharp M.B.A.s tried to think up how to get rich quick, while sitting together at the bar at the Downtown Athletic Club").
