Can anyone point me in the right direction for a small scaredy cat investor approach to hedging, aka arbitrage? I created position several weeks ago by buying 1000 shares of ntap and 1000 shares of emc and paid for all but 5200 dollars by selling 30 brcd 04/90 calls. I feel comfortable with the risk and this also builds on my March arbitrage of 20 mcdta Oct 15 calls long and 10 mcdt Oct 22.5 and 10 mcdt Oct 25 calls short at zero cost.(when mcdt was at large premium to mcdta).
I am now evaluating mtp long and short gx options and cci long and amt options short.
I saw nothing on this thread which discusses ideas such as this nor can I get any dialog on arbitrage thread. Any ideas anyone on where such strategies are discussed???
